  1. Keyword Research: This is the process of understanding the words and phrases (keywords) your target customers use when searching on search engines.
  2. On-Page SEO: This is about creating the kind of content searchers want to see. It involves strategically placing keywords, creating compelling titles, using short and descriptive URLs, optimizing images, and more.
  3. Off-Page SEO: This is where you do things outside your site to show search engines that your pages deserve to rank. One of those things is building high-quality backlinks.
  4. Technical SEO: This ensures search engines can find, crawl, and index your content.

What is PPC? Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is an online advertising method that allows advertisers to charge a fee per individual who clicks on their advertisement. The main difference between SEO and PPC is that traffic coming from SEO (organic) is free, while traffic generated from PPC is not. PPC ads appear at the top of the page, above the organic listings influenced by SEO. Therefore, PPC offers better positioning and, thus a higher conversion rate than that of SEO. However, the cost of PPC is higher than SEO, which is its main downside. The good part about PPC is that you can target what keywords people search for and have your advertisement only be found when someone searches for that word or phrase.

 

SEO vs PPC: Which One Should You Choose?

The choice between SEO and PPC depends on your specific needs and circumstances. If you want quick results and are willing to pay for each click, then PPC might be a good option. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a cost-effective, long-term strategy that builds trust and credibility, then SEO might be the way to go. Remember, these two strategies are not mutually exclusive. Many businesses find that using a combination of both SEO and PPC gives them the best results. An example would be that you activated some PPC ads, but your website is poorly optimized and doesn’t flow well. The conversion rate would be low since the user would not spend long on the website.
